Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked for a time in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary traditions and environment. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Early on, while living in the the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable experience for me. I was never able to be more educated or accomplished in my studies. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Burrell gained a greater appreciation of Italian culture and cuisine throughout her time in Italy and this has affected her cooking style. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children living with difficulties. She also serves as an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. As a guest speaker and teacher, she travels around the US to talk about her love for cooking and career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate in that she could be able to share her passion for cooking with the people around her.

Kajlich has appeared in supporting and lead roles in film and television, including Jennifer on the CBS comedy Rules of Engagement (2007 - 2013).
