Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25 in 1968) is a Canadian actress and singer from Canada. She is best known for her roles on the American television series Law & Order, on which she played the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons as well as Crossing Jordan, on which she played the lead character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also acted on films like RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she directed and wrote). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father was a meat and marketing sales/marketing executive. The job required significant travel , which meant the family had to move frequently. The mother of her child, Maxine, a secretary was a divorcee in 1982 and left her daughter partially raised by her maternal grandmother, Eleanor, in Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister. She is a journalist from Canada and host. Hennessy has Irish and French, Swedish, Italian and Swedish heritage from her father. mostly Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was where she graduated. She used to busk in Toronto's subway. Hennessy was the sister of her brother who made their debut on stage in 1988 as twin call-girls in the TV show Dead Ringers. She was not selected to play Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who ultimately got the role.She appeared in Broadway in the musical Buddy The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.
