Her illness began when she was a child, and spent six months in the hospital. He was then diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis. It was his career as a skater alongside Denis Samokhin that made him famous. Together, they participated in the two Junior World Championships and placed 7th both times in 1993 and 1994. In 1994, she briefly collaborated in a brief partnership with Maxim Kachanov. They were ranked 5th at the Goodwill Games. She then was paired with Vladimir Fedorov. Both were successful together, securing the Finlandia Trophy two times and competing at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. They also achieved more as a team however their most memorable moment was finishing 15th in the 1998 World Championships.
